Jordan Romm is LITA’s Director and principal manager. Having lived in Spain for many years and led numerous student trips to explore the country’s vibrant, diverse culture, Jordan has woven his relationships with local families, artists and educators into what is now LITA.
Before founding LITA, Jordan spent over 10 years teaching Spanish at the middle and high school levels, most recently in South Burlington, Vermont.
A graduate of Middlebury College, Jordan holds an M.Ed. from the University of Vermont. When he is not leading LITA trips, he can be found playing music with his band The Porters, cooking, or enjoying his hometown of Burlington, Vermont, with his wife, Kate, and his children Miles (10) and Ayla (8).
Michela Corcorran joined Jordan as LITA's Assistant Director in 2014 after having worked with LITA for several years as a Group Leader.
Michela has a lifelong interest and love for the Spanish language. She is originally from Seattle, WA and grew up as a student of a Spanish immersion program, which compelled her to devote much of her adult life to the use and study of the language. Before joining LITA full-time, Michela lived and worked in Sevilla, Spain and spent numerous years teaching middle and high school Spanish in Washington, DC, where she currently lives.
Michela holds a B.A. in Religion, with a minor in Race and Ethnic Studies from Whitman College. In her free time, Michela enjoys catching up with family and friends, getting outdoors, traveling, and watching Seattle Mariners games whenever she can.
